The Cavs were on their way to matching the record set by Los Angeles Lakers in 1989 and 2001 of 11 straight victories to begin a postseason after they swept aside Detroit Pistons in the First round and Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semi-final but fell short as Toronto Raptors defeated them in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals 99-84.
Heading into Game 3, the Cavs were 10-0 in this postseason and needed a victory to match the record set by Los Angeles Lakers.
